It’s one of the things that make us human. Some people can keep using it till the day they die. Whereas others, it dies within them or changes form. That’s the cool thing about creativity, it changes. In the old days, creativity was probably Caveman Bob’s cool new way of making a spear. Who would’ve thunk that a sharp stone is better than a pointy stick? Bob figured it out. Or maybe creativity began when Cavewoman Sue took a few herbs and the mammoth meat and mixed them together, thereby making stew. Mmmm, Mammoth stew.
What I’m saying is, creativity is not a learned trait. We all have it, but we need to exercise it to strengthen it. People, exercise your creativity. Write a poem, start a blog, paint, draw, or play pretend with your child. This is the time where we should be looking into our minds and have fun. The good thing about imagination play with children is that the children learn how to solve problems. Why should an adult not do imagination play? Sometimes our brain needs that extra charge.
