As most of you know, I am pregnant and its birth is just around the corner. 1 month and 9 days left until the due date! Well, I had planned that within the nine months of gestation I would write a complete rough draft manuscript. Unfortunately, with wedding ceremony plans, emotional craziness between me and my husband or me and everyone else in my life, I just haven’t had the chance to get anywhere close to finishing a manuscript. On top of that, it doesn’t help that I grew tired of my current projects.
GREAT NEWS, THOUGH! I have a story idea that plays on some of my favorite genres: Romance, Young Adult, Paranormal, Horror (Okay, not too sure if Horror will work, but I hope so). This idea has been on my mind for most of the year when I decided I should join the Young Adult Paranormal Romance bandwagon. I intend on making it a trilogy or a quadrant and it will be filled with teen angst. The good thing is, I’m aiming for a story where the girl doesn’t end up with someone until the end, and even then I’m not entirely sure if I want that to happen. Since I have this idea, it’s only right to begin writing it.
So, from now on, my goal is to write up to 3,000 words a day. It’s not going to be a strict thing like NaNoWriMo, but that’s because I know I will have very emotional days and be unable to write everyday when the baby is born. All I want to do is to finish the rough draft by my twenty-fifth birthday. Which will be in 1 year and 9 days.
I can do this, all I need to do is just keep writing. Hopefully, I will eventually get it published with a major publisher, but if that doesn’t work I have no problem getting it self-published. Fingers crossed!
