Photoshop and Covers

I have just learned to do something I find quite enjoyable: Photoshop. Really, alternating pictures to make a new picture is awesome! Already, I have made covers for my NaNoWriMo projects* and a few for other writers on Figment.com. I have to say, I have become quite the professional about it.

This is great because one of my ideas five years from now is possibly make my own independent publishing firm. If I can do that, I can make covers for those books and thereby, saving money. I mean, ultimately, I can make more money by not paying a designer to make my covers. Especially if I can do it myself. This is great! Also, it’s very fun. I can get about 3-5 done in 10 minutes, which is just like my bookmarks. It’s a great way to relieve stress, but keep the creativity going.

* I use stock photos for my stuff because they are free and I don’t have to pay royalties. Hence why it’s saving me money.

Here are some examples of what I’ve done!

My only issue is that the girl isn’t the same girl. I may have to redo them eventually, but right now I’m happy.

  1. Have you ever heard of a website called Protagonist.com? It’s a little bit more mature than Figment’s younger based writers.

    1. No, I haven’t heard of that website. That is so cool! Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll check it out when I can
