Chasing Ivan is an action packed novella that follows a CIA agent on his mission to capture a Russian criminal. The book is written in both third and first person point of view. The third POV centers on Emily and her search for love and Agent Achilles’ partner on his mission. Achilles’ parts in the book are in the first person.
At first that bothered me. I was worried that I was going to be confused and not experience a good book. Even though I still don’t care for the format, I wasn’t deterred from the story. The first person brought in fighting detail and the mental process of Achilles when the third person was the bulk of the story.
Since this is a novella, it’s hard not to give away anything. The book is filled with action and I felt like I was reading a movie. I love Tim Tigner’s writing and it was easy to be sucked into the book. If you love action packed books, Tim Tigner is an author you need to read.
