I have read the first book in the Treasure Chronicles, Treasure Darkly and I was a bit unsure about it. There were parts I liked and parts I didn’t. The main character, Clark was a good hero. The concept of the world was cool. The love interest, I didn’t care for her. That is . . . until I read this book.
I wanted to revisit the world first and foremost along with seeing how Clark would be able to avenge his parent’s death as well as finding the inventions. What I found was far better. I am in love with Amethyst. She has changed into a phenomenal woman and character.
There is a lot of action in this book. I love that both Clark and Amethyst are quick witted people and find ways to save their family. This book was definitely the better of the two (not that the first was bad, but this one is my favorite). I would love to see if there will be more books on Amethyst and Clark. There is no doubt that she won’t get into trouble.
