For now, Morgan is safe from the dark wave that has been attacking witches. Betrayed by her first love, she is trying to come to grips with her Woodbane heritage and with Wicca — its thorn and its rose.
Okay, so, I am still trucking along with the rereading of this series and I’m proud of my progress (not close to finishing, but that’s okay).
This book centered mostly on the issue of the main character’s realization that dark
magick is real and that her own heritage, a clan of witches with a dark history with magick, might make her susceptible to going to the dark side.
The story deals with her own issues of trying to find a balance within her life and protecting her family from bigots.
Like the other books, Awakening is roughly less than 200 pages. The book is a quick read and has a basic plot. Will I continue with the series? I plan to.
Final Rating: 3/5
