Praise for CHRISTMAS IN SILVERWOOD
“Romance readers who enjoy Hallmark-style stories of unexpected love will relish the down-home feel and evolving tale of Holly and Nick.” —Midwest Book Review

From USA TODAY Bestselling Author Dorothy Dreyer, comes a beautiful story about the magic of Christmas, the strength of family and friends, and falling in love when you least expect it—all with the help of a team of Alaskan Malamutes. This gorgeous, feel-good Christmas treat is perfect for fans of Debbie Macomber, Jenny Hale, and Sheila Roberts.

Holly St. Ives is in a rut. Once a celebrated artist making waves in New York City, she finds herself uninspired and unmotivated. Her recent break-up is the last push she needs to spend Christmas alone in the small mountain cabin her father left her in his will—a family getaway she hasn’t visited in years.

After a near accident in Silverwood, she meets Nick Mason, whom she learns is responsible for everything in the small town running like clockwork—including the upcoming Christmas festival and the town’s entry in the state-wide tree decorating contest. Holly doesn’t have time for Nick’s beguiling charm or mouth-watering holiday cupcakes, but after meeting his father, she discovers there’s more to the town’s obsession with the contest than meets the eye.

Touched by the prospect that the whole town is willing to pitch in for a good cause, Holly feels her Christmas spirit making a comeback. As Nick and his team of Alaskan Malamutes work their way into her heart, Holly may just remember the meaning of the season after all.

Movement near the entrance of the restaurant caught her eye. Holly did a double-take when she realized it was Nick walking in with a beautiful woman. She watched them as they were shown to their table. Nick held the chair out for the woman so she could take a seat. They smiled at each other, and Nick said something that made the woman laugh.
There was a strange twisting feeling in Holly’s stomach. She shifted in her seat and convinced herself it was just hunger. Besides, she wasn’t interested in Nick. He was bad news.
“Holly St. Ives,” Lucy said.
Holly finally tore her eyes away from Nick to find Lucy watching her. “What?”
Lucy lowered her voice. “Are you staring at Nick Mason?”
Holly’s neck and cheeks grew hot. “What? No. You know him? I’m not staring.”
Lucy bit back a laugh. “Everyone knows Nick. He’s like the glue that holds this town together.”
“I’ve noticed. Well, it’s good to see he takes some time off for a date.”
“A date?” Lucy laughed, practically snorting. “Oh, no, no.”
“What? He’s not with that woman?”
“No, that’s his sister Rachel.”
“Rachel.” Relief flooded Holly’s blood, her blush fading away and her stomach knot loosening. “Right. Avery’s mom.”
“Oh, you have been doing some homework. Good for you.”
“So, does he …” Holly cleared her throat and lowered her voice. “Does he have a girlfriend?”
Lucy raised an eyebrow.
Holly felt the heat rush back into her cheeks. “Oh, you know what? Never mind. I’m not interested. I mean I just got out of a relationship, and I need to take some time to find myself again and—”
“No, I don’t think so.”
Holly blinked. “What?”
“I don’t think he has a girlfriend. Not that I know of. He keeps real busy and spends a lot of time with his family.”
“Well that’s sweet.”
