As you can tell from my previous post, I have already started on listing my books of the year. This year, I’m going to do something a bit different. I’m a HUGE bibliophile. It’s very difficult for me to enter a bookstore and leave with nothing. Because of that fact, it is also difficult for me to read the books I already own. And so, which I’m sure I’ve mentioned, I’m trying not to buy a single book until I have read all of my books. That means I have 174 books left to read.
For my blog, I’m going to write better reviews and post the books I will be reading in the future.
For myself, I have a calendar hanging on my fridge with chores and exercise listed for the day. I have January and February already filled. I’m attempting to keep a clean home and a clean outlook in life. I am going to be finishing my second draft soon. I am probably going to be done around March. After that, I’m going to send out query letters and fingers crossed!
I’m also entering into literary contests up the butt this year. Which reminds me, there’s one due in four days. I need to get on that so that I have time to edit it. Good thing it’s only 200 words.
So, I’m very happy with this new year coming up. Last year was good and this one will be too. I just want to improve on perfection. It is needless to outright change me. ^_^
That’s really the way you should look at the new year: a chance to grow, learn, and be even better than what you already are.
Oh… and to start it out, here are four future books I’ll be reading:
