Feeling Good With Myself

In about a week, my husband will be on his final deployment. It will be another short one and I’m happy about that, but boy does it suck. However, despite the sad feelings that always comes with saying “goodbye for now” to a loved one, I’m actually feeling pretty good with myself.

Last deployment was filled with stress, but that’s going to be easily taken care of this year because my husband is finally going to have a POA for me. He was too busy to get it last time and honestly didn’t see the need for one. I had to put on my big girl pants and prove to him how important that one piece of paper is for me. I’m glad I did. Not only is he getting the paper, but I also proved to myself that I can get shit done and get him to do shit too.

NaNoWriMo has been going on for 25 days and though I am way behind to the point that I’m no longer doing it, I have a big chunk of a first draft done and I’ll have something to edit while my husband is gone. I plan to have it up and running as an eBook sometime this coming year! My deadline is April 20th, but I’m probably going to shoot for something closer to February 1st. We’ll see!

I have sold two bookmarks from my Etsy store which excites me greatly. I wouldn’t mind more sales, but currently I’m thrilled with what I have accomplished. In case you are interested, the website is:

I also decided to work on becoming an Independent Consultant for Scentsy which is a fragrance company that has wax warmers, scented wax, solid perfumes, and other smelly goodness. I honestly love the product and couldn’t ask for a better item to make my home smell good. Honestly, it fills the whole house without overpowering it. Scentsy is pretty good. If you’re in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, look me up:

So, yeah, I’m feeling pretty good with myself. I have a few methods to keep myself occupied and roughly sane (I can only handle so much Disney and Bug). I’m thinking of painting my living room someday soon and maybe move some furniture around. Yep, I’m excited to see what else I can accomplish in the year to come.
